Hats by Tracy J – My Community

Child’s Crochet Beret, 50% Merino Wool/25% Alpaca/25% Viscose.

Holiday Craft Market season is soon upon us! In addition to participating as a vendor in markets, Hats by Tracy J will be donating handmade hats to local community organizations to help with their fundraising. Above is one such hat that I designed for Christianne’s Lyceum of Literature and Art. The Lyceum will hold its Scholarship Fundraising Gala and Silent Auction next month. The hat is a child’s beret crocheted in a soft iris-coloured felted tweed yarn and features the seed stitch.

These two hats have been donated to Shaughnessy Heights United Church in advance of a silent auction and fundraiser dinner in December. The men’s warm winter hat is crocheted with a merino wool and alpaca yarn. The women’s beanie with its ribbed “post” cuff is made in a variegated cotton, viscose and silk blend.
